On Saturday, 5th November 2011, the Damascus team gathered together to invite members of the public to come to the Cathedral for a fun and free lunch, to which about fifteen guests obliged. We enjoyed a delicious lunch of Subway rolls and wraps, rounded off with a tasty cake for dessert.
Gabs and his friend Luke entertained the audience with some of their tunes. Daniel presented the gospel from the passage about the Pharisee and the Tax Collector. A changing passage for all to stomach, Daniel expertly expounded the text, demonstrating the proud nature of our hearts and the loving and merciful nature of God.
A big thank you to all the team who came together to serve on the day. If you are interested in attending, or even serving at a Damascus lunch, please email me at damascus12@hotmail.com. Our next lunch will be on Saturday, 3rd December, in the Upper Chapter House, St Andrews Cathedral or in the Sydney Square next to the Cathedral. We will be serving Subway once again, so we hope you to see you there.
